Walker appoints Gundrum to appeals court

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker appointed a Waukesha County judge Friday to serve on the state appeals court.

Judge Mark Gundrum was appointed to District 2, which is based in Waukesha. Before he was elected to the Waukesha County Circuit Court in April 2010, Gundrum served in the state Assembly representing the 84th District as a Republican.

Gundrum replaces Daniel Anderson, who retired in June. He faces an election in April.

The district includes Calumet, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha and Winnebago counties.
