The University of Minnesota maintains a website dedicated to state nursing home regulations. The website serves “as a one-stop location to examine and compare the content of state regulations related to nursing homes. It contains federal nursing home regulations and nursing home regulations for all states and the District of Columbia.”
The researcher can access regulatory information by state or topic. Topics include administration, admissions, dietary services, infection control, physical environment, quality of care, quality of life, resident rights, and many others.
Each topical section discusses the Federal requirements, the various state requirements, and a chart listing general state information. An extremely useful feature is the link to a .pdf containing detailed information for every state; it is basically a 50 state survey for each topical area.
