Anne McIntyre, Northern Illinois 2007 magna cum laude, has joined Nelson, Irvings & Waeffler, SC, Wauwatosa as an associate. She will concentrate her practice in elder law, probate, and disability planning. She was previously with the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee.

The law firm of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek SC has announced the election of Kim Wynn and the re-election of Bruce Arnold and Nathan Fishbach to its board of directors. Arnold and Fishbach have served on the board since 1998 and 2006, respectively. Fellow board members include Ann Maher, Jerard Jensen, Andrew Schlidt and Jay Starrett.

Wynn, a shareholder in the Milwaukee office and one of two women on the board, practices in the finance and real estate areas. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School.

Arnold, a shareholder in the Milwaukee office and managing director of the firm, counsels clients in all aspects of the health care industry. He received J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.

Fishbach, a shareholder in the Milwaukee office, focuses his practice on complex civil and white collar and compliance issues. He received his J.D. from Villanova University Law School.

Balisle & Roberson, SC announced that John Linstroth, (UW 2010) and Caroline Poduch, (UW 2011) have joined the firm as associates. Linstroth’s practice focuses on family law involving privately held business interests. Poduch’s practice also focuses on divorces of business owners, as well as estate planning and probate.

Veteran Quarles & Brady LLP attorney Christina Hernandez has joined ESI Attorneys LLC in Milwaukee.

The former partner in the commercial litigation will focus her practice on the analysis and production of electronically stored information in complex litigation.

Hernandez spent 10 years with Quarles and prior to that practiced at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo PC in Boston, handling criminal law.

Godfrey & Kahn SC announced that attorney shareholder Todd G. Smith has been named chair of the Appellate Practice Section of The State Bar of Wisconsin, effective immediately. He was elected chair-elect of that section in 2010.

Smith represents clients in state and federal appellate courts, focusing on appeals related to insurance coverage issues and cases brought under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974.

The purpose of the Appellate Practice Section is to bring together members of the State Bar of Wisconsin who have a special interest in the field of appellate practice and to encourage the communication and exchange of ideas between attorneys practicing in state and federal appellate courts.

Jason Knutson, University of Wisconsin, 2000, has joined the law firm of Habush Habush & Rottier SC as a shareholder. He will be working in the firm’s Madison office.

Peter White, University of Wisconsin Law School, J.D. 2009 cum laude, has joined the firm of Fox, O’Neill & Shannon SC  in Milwaukee, as an associate. He was previously employed as a tax consultant in the Milwaukee office of Deloitte Tax LLP. His practice will involve taxation, corporate law, business start-ups, estate planning and probate and trust administration.
