JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) — A 28-year-old man has been convicted of killing a man in Beloit, after shooting at a car 22 times.

A jury found Antonio L. Mance guilty of first-degree intentional homicide and of attempted first-degree intentional homicide for a November 2009 shooting that killed 22-year-old Derrick Kimber.

The Janesville jury came back with the decision Friday, after a week-long trial.

According to trial testimony, a witness saw Mance shoot 22 times at a car occupied by Kimber and Martell Rodgers.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports his sentencing is set for Oct. 26.

First-degree intentional homicide carries a mandatory life sentence and Mance could receive up to an additional 60 years for the attempted homicide of Rodgers.
