REEDSBURG, Wis. (AP) — The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is suing the owner of the McDonald’s restaurant in Reedsburg, claiming it allowed male employees to sexually harass their female co-workers.

The EEOC complaint, filed in federal court in Madison, says the females were subjected to sexual comments, sexual propositions or inappropriate physical contact. EEOC Chicago director John Rowe said some of the females were teenage high school students.

EEOC’s lawsuit was filed on behalf of a class of women, but stems from discrimination complaints by three former employees. The suit alleges some of the women were fired in retaliation for complaining and one quit to avoid further harassment.

The owner of the Reedsburg McDonald’s, Missoula Mac Inc., did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
