Amalia Levit Todryk says the best aspect of being a trusts and estates attorney is the “trust” part.

“The human element of the practice is what drew me to trusts and estates. I love working with families and hearing their stories,” she said.

“I especially enjoy being the trusted adviser to families. We get to know them on a very personal level. And the law is in such a state of flux regarding estate and gift taxes, so it’s always challenging. Every day, there’s something new to learn.”

Todryk feels at home at Quarles & Brady for many reasons, but is especially proud of the firm’s commitment to pro bono – a commitment she shares.

Todryk volunteers for the Sojourner Family Peace Center, assisting clients there with their estate planning needs.

She’s an animal lover, and just joined the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Humane Society. She’s already given a free seminar for the organization on basic estate planning and charitable giving, and anticipates offering other similar help in the coming years.
