   This is obscene, given the Republican’s promotion of people like Dan Manion to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. The basic Republican view of federal judges is that they must:

   (1) Always support the expansion of government power over the people;

   (2) Always support the rights of large corporations; and

   (3) Always keep the people down and in their place by making them fear the federal government and its twisted legal system.

   That is what Republican’s want. They want judges like drug-abusing Billy Rehnquist. Locked up in a mental hospital to cure his long-term drug-addiction, he was declared insane by his doctors based on his crazy hallucinations. Then they let him out and he rejoined the court without question. (This is all true, look it up and ask why it was covered up. Should mentally ill people be Supreme Court Justices?) This is what Republicans want, crazy judges who break the law as long as they favor government and corporate power. A rational and fair judge, like Louis Butler, is a threat to their nefarious schemes.
