The only downside to selecting Rick Sankovitz is that Milwaukee County would lose a terrific judge. But that’s just my self-interest. Rick would be an outstanding selection to join the Seventh Circuit.

This is a great field of bright, accomplished and ethical attorneys/judges. My nod goes to Lynn Adelman as he is the most qualified to sit on the Seventh Circuit(he is an experienced, sitting, fed. dist. ct. judge) and certainly among the brightest and hardest working jurists I have encountered.

John G made a worthwhile comment on Oct 15th “If we are looking for a judge of the people I would strongly vote for Victoria Nourse, not only has she worked in all of the branches of the government but her research analyzes the effects of moving governmental power farther from the electorate (IE the people). She is brilliant, tireless, and humble.

Victoria Nourse is one of the most sincere, hard-working, insightful lawyers I’ve encountered. Her years of experience on Capitol Hill–combined with her work as a litigator, teacher, and author–show a passion for public service and an uncommon understanding of law beyond the walls of a courtroom. Wisconsin and the Seventh Circuit would be well-served by her appointment.
