After the Wisconsin Supreme Court approved amending Rule 809.23 to permit citation to some unpublished opinions, they formed a committee to see how the new rule will work.
It doesn’t take effect until July 1, and only opinions issued after that date can be cited.
Nevertheless, as a member of that committee, I want to encourage our readers to feel free to contact me after the amendment goes into effect, and share with me how it goes – the good, the bad, and the ugly. Whatever your experience is, I’d like to hear it, so I can share it with the committee and ultimately, the court.
